Dear Families:

We are writing to inform you the JUNIOR ACADEMY (Grades 6th, 7th and 8th) will be moving to distance learning for the remainder of the week:  Wednesday, May 4th, and Thursday, May 5th.  Friday, May 6th is a staff work day so there is no school for students.  Students will return on Monday, May 9th.

This is due to the large number of staff and students who are home with COVID like symptoms or who have tested positive.

Please closely monitor your child for symptoms.

  • Fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher
  • New cough or a cough that gets worse
  • Difficulty/hard time breathing
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Nasal congestion/stuffy or runny nose
  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
  • Muscle pain
  • Extreme fatigue/feeling very tired
  • Severe/very bad headache
  • Chills

We will be sending home a COVID test kit with all Junior Academy students.   If your child tests positive for COVID-19 please email COVID@duluthedison.com.
