Ordering Spring Flowers Helps Support DECS Legacy Fund

We need your help! The DECS Legacy Fund was established to create a permanent endowment that will sustain an ongoing grants program for our teachers and classrooms at both North Star and Raleigh.  In the past four years almost 70 grants have been awarded to DECS teachers through this fund for a wide variety of items including books, technology equipment, playground equipment,  funds for field trips and more.  A link to our most recent annual report is here

For the past year, with the COVID pandemic underway, we have  chosen not to do our traditional fall fundraiser.

At this time, there are some glimmers of hope in this challenging pandemic time and we are launching the “Clubs Art in Nature” spring fundraiser to celebrate. You can download the flyer from the sidebar on the left, or from the ordering website.

To begin please log into: www.clubschoicefundraising.com/register

You will be able to create an account for your student where you can register to make purchases and also send invitations to family and friends to do the same. If your family really wants to get into the spirit of fundraising for our Fund, you will also see information on a wide variety of prizes your student can win based on sales.  Participation in this part of the fundraiser is welcome but not a requirement.

When you register, you will need a building code.  These are listed below

The North Star code is NOR533

The Raleigh code is RALE23

As an online fundraiser, when items are purchased individuals can choose to have them shipped directly to their home.  Any items that are shipped to the school, and prizes, will be delivered May 4.  We’ll have more information for you on that as the date approaches.

We know some families prefer not to participate in fundraising and would rather make a donation directly to the Legacy Fund.  You can do that by sending a check for the DECS Legacy Fund to:

DECS Legacy Fund
3301 Technology Drive
Duluth, MN 55811

or visit www.dsacommunityfoundation.com to give online.  Click Give Now and when asked which fund to donate to identify “Duluth Edison Charter Schools Legacy Fund.”

We appreciate your support as we  continue to grow this fund so we are able to provide grants for DECS teachers into the future. Our Fund will receive around 35 percent of the profit from the sales.

What better way to grow, than to plant? We can all use some brightness in our lives and planting can be a fun family project. Please share this  opportunity with friends and family! And reach out to me with any questions Sales will close on March 23.
